Hojoon Kim steps down from board, Jason Sydenham appointed as Executive Director

PCRL founding board director Hojoon Kim has stood down with immediate effect from the League. As a key member of the founding board and the initial creative director, Hojoon played a pivotal role in setting the tone for the League and enabling PCRL to grow and flourish. A perfectionist across his many endeavors, Dr Kim will be missed, and leaves on good terms with the best wishes of President Ady Cooney and all in the PCRL family.

Dr Kim will not be replaced immediately on the board, with the PCRL AGM due in January, elections will be held then for new board members. Interested parties should submit their application here.

In further change, we are delighted to announce the appointment earlier this month of Jason Sydenham as Executive Director for the League. He will chair the Executive Committee announced last month, and work alongside the Board of Directors to run the rapidly expanding PCRL.

Jason commented, “I am delighted to be a part of the rugby league expansion here in the US. I grew up playing league, it has always been a part of me. The PCRL have established a great platform thus far, I believe we can broaden the public membership, while we increase attendance and participation at games.”
